Selby District Local Plan Issues & Options
Selby District Council is holding a six week consultation from 24th January to 5pm on 6th March 2020 on the Local Plan Issues and Options document.
The preparation of a new Local Plan for Selby District provides the opportunity to consider what sort of place we would like Selby to be in 2040. The plan will set out a vision and framework for future growth of the district, identifying where new housing, employment and other development will be located. The Local Plan will also set out policies which the Council will use to determine planning applications.
This Issues and Options consultation is the first stage in the process and asks for comments on the key issues that have been identified and for views on alternative options for growth. Nothing has been decided at this early stage and therefore the consultation responses received will be very important in shaping the contents of the emerging plan.
As with previous consultations on Local Plans we are directing people to look at the documents either online on our website https://selby-consult.objective.co.uk/kse or to see hard copies of the document at all local libraries and public council offices.
